Dr. Wangia

Dr. Wangia is a dermatologist who founded Florida Institute of Dermatology, where he serves as Medical Director. He is also a co-founder of the institute, which operates a cosmetic office called FID Cosmetic Center. Undergraduate study was a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Utah Valley University, completed as a Presidential Scholar. He went on to Howard University for medical school, graduating with honors and being inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Next came an internship in internal medicine and a dermatology residency at the University of Florida, where he was Chief Resident, followed by a dermatopathology fellowship there and further training at the Cleveland Clinic and the University of California, San Francisco. He also volunteers as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at the University of Florida and Howard University. He is board-certified and triple board-certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. He is one of the few triple board-certified dermatologists in the country. His clinical interests include skin cancer, complex medical dermatology, skin of color, and medical education. During training he received the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award from the Society of Teaching Scholars and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award.
