Dr. Wael Kouli

Dr. Wael Kouli serves as the surgeon at Esthetica Orange County, where all forms of cosmetic surgery are performed. He graduated from Aleppo University Medical School in 1996 and completed a surgery internship at the University of Michigan Medical Center between 1998 and 1999. From 1999 to 2004 he was a teaching resident at Drexel University Medical School, where he finished a general surgery residency and served as chief resident from 2004 to 2005. Later training includes a laparoscopic bariatrics fellowship at Princeton University Medical Center from 2008 to 2009 and a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Seattle, Washington, with South Center Cosmetic Surgery. Between July 2005 and March 2008 he practiced privately in laparoscopic bariatrics and general surgery in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Since 2002 he has taught as an ATLS instructor for the American College of Surgeons. His experience spans cosmetic surgery and weight loss surgery, and he is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He has also published in medical journals. Credentials include board certification in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery, diplomate status with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and fellowship of the American College of Surgeons. He holds an ECFMG certificate, current medical licenses in California and Washington, a New Jersey medical license listed as current, and a current DEA registration.
