Dr. Trusha Shah

Dr. Trusha Shah serves as Medical Director of Shah Wellness & Aesthetics. She has spent more than 15 years in medicine, and her pain care runs from conservative treatment through minimally invasive procedures. Her pain work aims to ease pain, rebuild physical function and mobility, and reduce dependence on opioids. Her areas of focus are lower back pain, neck pain and cancer pain. She completed a fellowship in 2011 at the Weill Cornell Tri-Institutional Pain Fellowship, where core rotations took place at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and The Hospital for Special Surgery. Previously she chaired the Integrative Pain Medicine practice at ProHEALTH, co-chaired its Center for Neck and Back Pain, and worked in Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn. At the aesthetics practice she performs injectable, laser and regenerative medicine procedures, and she has pursued advanced training in medical aesthetics, anti-aging medicine and holistic wellness. She works through each client's goals and concerns, designs individualized treatment plans, and explains comprehensive wellness, including how to maintain results over the long term. She is a leading pain medicine physician in the greater New York City area and on Long Island. She received the 2023 Women in Medicine Award and was named to Castle Connolly Top Doctors for the New York Metro Area in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023, to Newsday Top Doctors on Long Island in 2020, and to New York Magazine Top Doctors in 2020.
