Dr. Tarina Desai, M.D., founded Artavi Med Spa and serves as its owner, medical director and chief injector. She is a board certified physician, board certified in family medicine, and has been working in aesthetics and injecting full time since 2016. Before focusing on aesthetics she completed medical school and a residency in San Antonio, Texas, where she served as chief resident, and she practiced medicine for almost seven years, including several years as a hospitalist in Houston after residency.
Her aesthetics education began with two years of study under injectors who had practiced for more than 20 years, among them family medicine physicians, dermatologists, plastic surgeons and neurosurgeons. She was selected by Allergan for an exclusive institute masterclass led by a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, and she has completed courses with Cutera, Sciton, InMode, Skinceuticals, Diamond Glow, Amspa, Allergan and Galderma.
Her work covers injectables, laser and IPL, chemical peels and microneedling, with an emphasis on advanced methods for natural, visible outcomes.
