Dr. Tarak Patel

Dr. Patel is a plastic surgeon at Northwest Face & Body in Kirkland, working mainly in cosmetic surgery while drawing on training and experience in reconstructive work as well. He holds board certification in both plastic surgery and general surgery and has served 25 years in the U.S. Army. He attended West Point for undergraduate study and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda for medical school. His general surgery residency was at Tripler Army Medical Center, and his plastic surgery residency was at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After his Army commission following West Point, he deployed with a Forward Surgical Team supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, and he began plastic surgery training after returning from that deployment. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He was voted Best Cosmetic Surgeon in the Best of South Sound. His breast work includes augmentation, lifts, revision and reconstruction, and each augmentation plan is built around the patient's anatomy, implant preferences and aesthetic goals. He also performs tummy tucks, including revision procedures, and consults on whether a patient is a candidate. He works to keep each patient's goals in view while keeping the experience safe and comfortable.
