Dr. Swartz

Dr. Swartz shares leadership of O'Neill Plastic Surgery in Charleston, South Carolina, with Dr. Patrick O'Neill, and appears among the practice's plastic surgeons. She is double board-certified in plastic and general surgery. After graduating with honors from Indiana University, where she trained for both college and medical school, she moved to Charleston to start surgical training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her residency focused on general surgery, and she then completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, finishing in June 2016 with Dr. Patrick O'Neill among her mentors. She spent two years on surgical research into tissue remodeling, which earned the MUSC Dabney R. Yarbrough Research Award. In total she has spent a decade on research and surgical training.

Her practice centers on breast and body surgery, with extensive experience in breast augmentation and breast reconstruction after mastectomy. She also focuses on reconstructive care for breast cancer survivors and on mommy makeover procedures.
