Dr. Sophie Simeakis-Borrelli

Dr. Simeakis-Borrelli owns Sofia's Med Spa in Frankfort, where she serves as medical director and master injector. She graduated from Midwestern University Medical School in 1986, completed two years of general surgery, and then trained in emergency medicine and trauma. She holds board certification in both fields and has kept it current. She worked 17 years as a senior attending in the emergency and trauma unit at Cook County Hospital, and in total she spent more than 35 years as a hospital-based practitioner. She retired from emergency medicine about three years ago. Her aesthetic training started in the early 2000s, and she has practiced full time in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine since 2006. In the past 18 years she has studied medical spa techniques under trainers, with a focus on laser aesthetics, dermal fillers, neuromodulators, skin care, anti-aging treatments and hormonal therapy.
