Dr. Sid Mirrafati

Dr. Sid Mirrafati is the surgeon and owner of the practice and performs surgery personally at Mira Aesthetic in Costa Mesa. He has practiced cosmetic surgery in Orange County since 1997, has more than 30 years of practice, and has performed over 8,000 breast surgeries and more than 50,000 procedures. He works across breast augmentation, liposuction, Brazilian butt lift, abdominoplasty and Mommy Makeover, and he also performs revision breast surgery for patients who have had results elsewhere. He personally performs Botox injections and performs laser treatments and acne scar resurfacing, having trained other surgeons in those areas.

His training includes a medical degree from Chicago Medical School, a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and a master's degree in human physiology from the University of Health Science in Chicago. He completed a general surgery residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, his residency or fellowship training includes Riverside General Hospital, and he completed one-year fellowships in cosmetic surgery at Fulton Skin Institute in Newport Beach and in general cosmetic surgery with Dr. Shiffman in Tustin. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and a faculty member of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. He also works as a professor, lecturer and public speaker in cosmetic surgery.

He has written surgical textbooks, including Simplified Facial Rejuvenation, published by Springer, Aesthetic Surgery of the Abdominal Wall, Breast Augmentation: Principles and Practice, and a Spanish-language book on abdominoplasty, and he co-authored a book on liposuction. He developed the vibro-tumescent liposuction technique, the Mira Mist underarm breast augmentation method and the Mira Corsetplasty. He has trained surgeons internationally in the vibro-tumescent and Mira Mist techniques. He has been operating since before the Brazilian butt lift was a mainstream procedure, and cosmetic surgery is all he does, with no reconstructive surgery.
