About
Dr. Shay is a board-certified physician who practices at Kintsu MedSpa & Wellness. She spent 20 years as a senior physician in intensive care and emergency medicine before moving into medical aesthetics. When she opened her own clinic in the East Bay, she carried that clinical experience into the practice. She holds an MD from the University of Connecticut at Storrs and completed undergraduate study in chemistry and mathematics at Brooklyn College in New York City. Her postgraduate training includes an emergency medicine residency and a critical care fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Medical aesthetics is her main focus, and she oversees Botox treatments with the goal of helping each client get the best result possible. She views aesthetic treatment as a way to support a client's emotional and personal wellbeing. She builds each plan around what the client hopes to achieve and respects their choices at every stage.
