Dr. Sarah Yagerman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon, holding double board certification. Her work covers medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology in New York City, with patients seen at the Upper West Side and Columbus Circle offices of Upper West Side Dermatology. She began at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, then studied medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, graduating with Honors in Service. After medical school she completed an internal medicine intern year at NYU Langone Health, then a three-year dermatology residency at NYU's Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology, where she was chief resident in the final year. A year of dermatologic oncology research took place at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her Mohs and dermatologic oncology fellowship, which carries ACGME accreditation, was completed at Skin Laser and Surgery Specialists in NY and NJ, and she keeps a particular interest in dermatologic oncology. She serves as Director of Dermatologic Surgery at Woodhull Hospital, where she teaches residents, and she started the first Mohs surgery department at the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation there. She has returned to NYU faculty and has more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in cosmetic and dermatologic surgery. On the cosmetic side, lasers address photoaging, resurfacing, acne and redness, and she has trained extensively with fillers including Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse and Sculptra, plus neuromodulators for wrinkle relaxation.
