About
Dr. Sarah Larson is a naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist practicing at Emerge Natural Health Care in Vancouver, Washington. She holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in addition to her naturopathic training. She earned a bachelor's degree in science with a pre-medicine emphasis in psychology from the University of North Dakota.
Her doctorate in naturopathic medicine and her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine both came from the National University of Natural Medicine. She completed a two-year residency under Dr. Edythe Vickers at An Hao Natural Health Care Center in Portland, Oregon, a program approved by the Council of Naturopathic Medicine, plus a two-year women's health internship during medical school. She has also practiced with Dr. Linda Meloche at Abbey Road Clinic in Carlton, Oregon.
Working as a primary care physician, she treats acute and chronic disease, autoimmune conditions, acute and chronic pain, and cancer, as well as frequent concerns like diabetes, high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol. Her women's health services include female wellness visits and yearly checkups, testing and balancing hormones, and education and prescribing for birth control.
Treatment plans may combine Western and Chinese herbs, prescription medications, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle and diet changes. She keeps up with the latest research in her practice.
