Dr. Sam Borghei

Dr. Sam Borghei works as a hair restoration surgeon at My Hair MD, where he is part of the medical team. He received a B.S. from the University of California San Diego in 2001 and an M.D. from Chicago Medical School / Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine in 2005. Residency training followed: at Lutheran General Hospital from 2005 to 2006, then at the University of Southern California / Los Angeles County Hospital from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010 he was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine.

He moved into hair restoration full time after working in emergency medicine, with 20 years of experience in trauma centers and hospitals in Southern California. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. For his hair restoration work he trained hands-on with Dr. Michael Wisiorek and Dr. Hootan Zandifar, and he holds Fellow status with the American Society of Aesthetic & Hair Restoration Surgeons (ASHRS).

He is president of Saman Borghei MD, Inc., a hair transplant specialty practice. He also serves as senior partner at Vituity Healthcare Partnership, president and medical director of Hydrothrive Wellness, and managing partner of Elevate Emergency Medicine. He was previously medical director of Southwest Donor Services.
