Dr. Ricardo Castrellon

Dr. Ricardo Castrellon is a plastic surgeon with double board certification, in general surgery and in plastic surgery. He is the founder of the practice. Previously he worked as a medical doctor at South Miami Burn Center, and he now serves as Medical Director of the SMH Burn Center. He has also taken part in developing several trauma centers in the region. His training covers general surgery, critical care, trauma, burn care, and plastic and reconstructive surgery, and includes maxillofacial surgery as well. His areas of specialty are plastic and reconstructive surgery, burn surgery and trauma surgery. He serves as Vice President of the Miami Plastic Surgery Society and sits on its board. On a voluntary basis, he holds faculty positions at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at FIU and at Nova Southeastern University. He is working toward an MBA in health service administration. Based in Miami-Dade County, he has practiced privately there for eight years.
