Dr. Reshma Vasanwala

Dr. Reshma Vasanwala founded Refine Anti-Aging Medicine and Aesthetics in Oakland, where she serves as medical director. She is a board-certified physician who has been certified in internal medicine since 2001 and has practiced clinically for over two decades. Her medical education started at Western University in Pomona, and she then completed an internal medicine residency in Los Angeles. At UC Irvine she earned dual degrees in chemistry and art history and graduated first in her class. She later received a Master's in Public Health from UC Berkeley. She trained for two years in anti-aging and functional medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. She keeps training across the United States and abroad, including masterclasses on facial injections with leaders in aesthetic medicine. Her clinical focus covers full facial balancing with dermal fillers, PRP for facial aesthetics, hair restoration, pain management, sexual wellness, and bioidentical hormone replacement using custom-compounded hormones. Her approach begins with what each patient cares about most, along with a full history and labs. She aims to treat current symptoms while working to prevent future illness, combining functional medicine, prevention and aesthetic refinement, and she brings a strong artistic sensibility to her work.
