Dr. Rajiv Iyengar

Rajiv Iyengar is a plastic surgeon and the owner of Iyengar Plastic Surgery, where his work spans reconstructive, hand and aesthetic surgery. He went to Bellarmine Preparatory School, graduating as valedictorian, and later joined Brown University's combined program that leads to both a bachelor's degree and an MD over eight years, based in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned awards and national recognition as a medical student for his work in basic science and clinical research. He completed a Sc.B. in Neuroscience and then attended medical school at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine. He trained in a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Yale University, and then took a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular reconstruction at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. During that fellowship year he treated complex trauma, nerve and brachial plexus conditions, pediatric congenital hand anomalies and common upper extremity problems. He has published many peer-reviewed articles on hand and upper extremity surgery, pediatric craniofacial surgery and aesthetic surgery.
