Dr. Paul Fortes

Dr. Paul Fortes is Medical Director of Paul F. Fortes MD Plastic Surgery in Houston and works as a plastic surgeon with The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery, where the site says he has practiced for more than 20 years. The practice itself dates to 1998. According to the site, much of his career has centered on body procedures for women, and his work spans facial, breast and body surgery. He is known for mommy makeovers and a method called the Fortes Figure. The site calls him renowned and one of Houston's premier mommy makeover specialists, lists him as a Top Doctor in Plastic Surgery in Houston, and says Texas Monthly named him a 2024 Texas Super Doctor, his 11th year on that list. He earned a Doctor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston from 1986 to 1990, after a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Rice University, graduated magna cum laude. He completed an internship in 1991 and a general surgery residency from 1991 to 1995 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, serving as chief resident in general surgery in 1995. His plastic surgery fellowship ran from 1995 to 1998 at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, where he was chief resident in plastic surgery in 1998. He contributed a chapter on ear reconstruction to Plastic Surgery Secrets, published in 1998. He is double board certified through ABPS and ABS and is a Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons. He holds nationwide certification in CO2, erbium and alexandrite laser surgery, and his Texas medical license dates to 1990. He belongs to ASPS and ASAPS, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons, and holds hospital privileges at several Houston-area and Sugar Land facilities. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
