About
Dr. Paul Chugay is a cosmetic surgeon at Gravity Med Spa in San Juan Capistrano, where he performs surgical body sculpting and enhancement procedures. He holds a bachelor's degree in animal physiology and neuroscience from UC San Diego. His basic sciences studies took place at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, and his clinical sciences studies at Ross University in Dominica, where he earned his medical doctorate in May 2005. Surgical training followed, starting with a preliminary year at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Virginia and a general surgery residency at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. From 2011 to 2012 he completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship at Tulsa Surgical Arts in Oklahoma, where he performed more than 1,200 cases. His clinical interests include total body reconstruction after bariatric surgery, breast augmentation and breast reconstruction. His surgical services cover body sculpting and body implant procedures. He has co-authored several papers on body implant augmentation with Dr. Nikolas Chugay and co-wrote the textbook Body Sculpting with Silicone Implants. His general surgery certification comes from the American Board of Surgery, and he holds diplomate status with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. His memberships include the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
