About
Dr. Neha Delvadia is the lead podiatric physician and surgeon at Podiatry Group of Georgia. She directs podiatry care at the Marietta office and provides clinical and surgical care at both the Marietta and East Cobb locations. She is board-certified as a podiatrist and as a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, completed a residency in podiatric surgery, and specializes in biomechanics. She holds a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at the University of Florida and trained in podiatric medicine at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Her three-year podiatric medicine and surgical residency took place at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia, and she completed a Bako Diagnostic Dermatology and Pathology Fellowship in Alpharetta, Georgia. Her caseload includes heel pain diagnosis, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, limb-preserving care for diabetic patients and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. She performs bunion correction using osteotomy realignment and joint fusion, and uses laser therapy for toenail fungus and discoloration. She makes custom 3D gait scans and biomechanical orthotics. For Achilles tendonitis, both insertional and non-insertional, she starts with non-surgical treatment and reserves surgery for chronic cases, and she can talk through in-house surgical options. She corrects hammertoes, including surgical realignment of rigid toes, and takes a conservative approach to sports injuries and joint pain. In the office she drains black toenails, removes splinters and foreign objects, and oversees KeryFlex nail restoration carried out by certified providers under podiatric supervision. She evaluates ankle pain, including ligament sprains and tendon problems, using in-office digital X-rays. For Morton's neuroma she applies the Mulder's click test and digital X-rays, beginning with custom orthotics, padding, footwear changes and in-office injections, and refers for surgical consultation on nerve decompression or excision when needed. For flexible hammertoes she checks joint flexibility and recommends orthotics, padding or stretching. For plantar warts she trims the overlying callus and applies a blistering agent in the office. She co-authored abstracts on plantar shear stress and plantar loading presented at the 2013 American Podiatric Medical Association Annual Scientific Meeting and the 2013 American Society of Biomechanics Annual Meeting, and she writes medically reviewed foot health guides for the practice blog. She treats patients of all ages across Greater Atlanta, providing conservative and surgical care for the foot, ankle and lower leg.
