About

Dr. Nathan Brought leads the surgical team at Southern Plastic & Reconstructive Surgical Institute in Franklin, Tennessee, where he is the practice's plastic surgeon. He is board-certified in plastic surgery and works as an osteopathic surgeon (DO). He holds dual certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. His medical degree is from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and he completed his undergraduate studies at Dickinson College. Brought first trained in general surgery, finishing a five-year residency at Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He then completed a two-year plastic and reconstructive surgery residency through Ohio University at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, with rotations at Grant Medical Center and Ohio State University. He trained under leading surgeons in the field. His experience spans cosmetic surgery, trauma, breast reconstruction, burn surgery, hand surgery, microvascular surgery and maxillofacial reconstruction. His procedure work centers on body contouring, including liposuction, tummy tuck and thigh lift, and on breast augmentation, reduction, lift and reconstruction. He has experience placing form-stable implants, often called gummy bear implants. He also treats men seeking cosmetic procedures and performs facial rejuvenation, including Botox, fillers, eyelid surgery and facelifts. He is highly trained in breast enhancement that does not use implants. At consultation, he examines each patient, walks through the recommended procedure and recovery in detail, and selects implant type, size and shape together with the patient. If surgery isn't the right fit, he may propose other options, and he puts real effort into patients' physical and emotional comfort throughout care. Patients often name him among the best cosmetic surgeons in Williamson County. He is affiliated with the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the Tennessee Osteopathic Medical Association, the Tennessee Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the Tennessee Athletic Commission.
