Dr. Michael Shafran

Michael Shafran is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who works at Shafran Plastic Surgery Center in Feasterville-Trevose and sees patients in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hofstra University, graduating magna cum laude, and was elected to the Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-medical honor society. He then graduated with distinction from NYCOM in Old Westbury, New York. He trained in general surgery in New York City, with rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NY Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. In his final residency year he served as chief resident, running the administration and teaching of 15 junior surgeons and 100 medical students. He went on to a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, with training linked to Hahnemann University Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, St. Mary's Medical Center, Forrest Health Medical Center and Reading Health System. That fellowship covered breast reconstruction and oncoplastic surgery, trauma and maxillofacial surgery, hand and microvascular surgery, and facial, breast and body aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. He also offers Botox and filler treatments and helps patients decide which option fits their goals.
