Dr. Michael Potter, MD

Dr. Michael Potter, MD is a concierge physician who leads Afterglow's Concierge Medicine program and is listed as a provider on the team. He has over 30 years of experience in primary and preventive care. He has been a UCSF faculty member in the Department of Family and Community Medicine since 1994, and his research covers preventive health, managing chronic illness in primary care and how healthcare system design affects patient outcomes.

He trained at Harvard College, earning a BA, and at Harvard Medical School, where he earned his MD in 1990. He completed a family medicine residency at the UCSF Family Medicine Program at San Francisco General Hospital in 1993 and an Advanced Training in Clinical Research Fellowship at UCSF in 1997. He holds a California medical license.
