About
Dr. Michael Ogilvie founded Ogilvie Plastic Surgery, LLC, and has served as its director since 2017. From 2016 to 2017 he was an attending plastic surgeon in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Before that, from 2003 to 2006, he worked as a research assistant in the same division at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. His training began with a five-year general surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, part of the University of Miami, followed by a two-year trauma and critical care research fellowship at that hospital. He then completed a three-year plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Duke University in Durham, NC, and a one-year aesthetic and oculoplastic surgery fellowship at the Few Institute for Aesthetic Surgery in Chicago, working under Dr. Julius Few. He served as chief resident in both the University of Miami and Duke University programs. He received the University of Miami Robert Zeppa Resident Research Award in 2010 and the Provident Foundation Legacy Helping Hands Scholarship in 2004. He holds board certification from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His practice covers breast, body, face, male and non-surgical procedures, with a strong interest in rhinoplasty and nasal surgery, which he lists among his favorite procedures. He also treats men for gynecomastia and other male aesthetic concerns, including facial structure and skin.
