Dr. Michael Karon

Michael Karon is a plastic surgeon with Main Line Institute of Plastic Surgery, and he also operates at CoSurgery together with Dr. Ryan Hoffman. He is board-eligible in plastic surgery and holds board certification in general surgery. He teaches as faculty in the General Surgery Residency at Lankenau Medical Center and has hospital privileges at all four Main Line Health hospitals. His focus includes tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, breast augmentation and complex revisional breast surgery, and his clinical interests cover facial aesthetics, body contouring, comprehensive cosmetic surgery and general reconstruction.

He earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. At Lankenau he completed his general surgery residency, where he received the Gilson Colby Engel Award for Intern of the Year and worked as administrative chief resident. His plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship took place at Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, where he worked alongside private practice plastic surgeons in the region and concentrated on aesthetic work on the face and body. During that fellowship he also gained clinical experience at Lehigh Valley Health Network and Penn Lancaster General.

The practice describes his approach as personalized and holistic, with time spent learning each patient's goals and how surgery would fit into their daily life. He aims for natural-looking outcomes and stays hands-on from planning through surgery.
