Dr. Matthew Wilson

Dr. Matthew Wilson serves as medical director at WellSight. He is a board-certified surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), focusing on trauma, critical care and complex surgical procedures. Alongside that role, he is co-trauma medical director at Mission Hospital, chief of surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta, and a surgeon in the U.S. Army Reserve. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Howard University and a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Postgraduate work took him through a residency at King/Drew Medical Center and a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He belongs to the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. His philosophy is that care should combine clinical excellence with general well-being, with the goal of improving health, recovery and resilience.
