About
Dr. Marshall T. Partington is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who holds an MD. He founded On Top Rapid Recovery Breast Augmentation. He graduated with honors from Williams College and took his medical degree at Cornell University Medical College. He completed a seven-year general surgery program at UCLA, then plastic surgery training at New York University under Dr. Joseph McCarthy, followed by a microsurgery and hand surgery fellowship in San Francisco under Dr. Harry Buncke.
Earlier in his career he spent five years as Director of Microsurgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Everett Clinic in Washington. He opened a private practice on the Eastside in 1998. Since 1992 he has volunteered with Interplast, now ReSurge International, as a surgeon and committee member, with a focus on children affected by cleft lip, birth defects, burns and hand injuries. He has taught surgical knowledge and techniques to doctors in China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Ecuador, Brazil, Vietnam, Nepal, Mali and across Africa, and he is president of the board for the regional chapter of Healing the Children.
He works as a microsurgeon with a focus on cosmetic breast surgery, including breast augmentation. He is known for the muscle-sparing ON TOP technique and places implants using the no-touch method. He mastered that technique decades ago. His approach is minimally invasive, with smaller incisions and a structured recovery plan, with planning before surgery and a postoperative pain plan fitted to each patient. He has treated professional athletes, among them football players and boxers, as well as fitness models. Patients travel to his Bellevue center from the local area, from across the country and from abroad, and he was an early adopter of the RHA Flawless in Motion Collection fillers.
He has been invited more than 40 times to lecture to medical professionals, has published original papers and received numerous awards during his postgraduate training. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons.
