About

Dr. Mark Khorsandi founded ZO Skin Centre Houston, where he serves as medical director and oversees candidacy assessments and treatment plans. He also started the Migraine Relief Center in Houston. He is a physician and surgeon holding the DO credential and is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. His main specialty is hand surgery, with general surgery as a second area. His practice includes peripheral nerve surgery, neuropathy treatment, and migraine relief with BOTOX. At the skin clinic he oversees, treatments address fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage.

He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in 1999 and holds a bachelor's degree from Boston College. His general surgery internship was at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a general surgery residency at Peninsula Hospital Center from 2000 to 2004. He then completed a fellowship under hand-injury surgeon Dr. Charles P. Melone. Dr. Zein Obagi mentored him directly, and he made repeated visits to Obagi's clinic in Beverly Hills. He regularly attends laser and aesthetics courses.

He has 22 years of active practice in the U.S. or Canada, 15 of them in Texas, and has also worked at hospitals in New York. In Texas, his hospital privileges cover Memorial Hermann Northwest Surgery Center, Memorial Hermann Memorial City, Altus in Baytown, River Oaks at Oak Bend, and Townsen Memorial Hospital. He is among the few surgeons in Texas with training in migraine, hand and microsurgery.
