Dr. Marisa Vinas

Dr. Marisa Vinas holds an M.D. and a D.A.B.S. credential and practices alongside her father, Dr. Luis A. Vinas. She completed a residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, then a postdoctoral fellowship in burn surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center within its Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. A further postdoctoral fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery provided intensive aesthetics training. She holds diplomate status with the American Board of Surgery and is an associate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Her practice focuses on cosmetic work on the face, breast and body, including procedures after bariatric surgery. She also performs surgical and energy-based scar reconstruction, laser treatment and post-burn care, and treats hidradenitis suppurativa scarring within reconstructive cases. Her background includes repairing soft tissue injuries and reconstructing burns for aesthetic outcomes. Her patient base includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery clients.
