Dr. Margaret Ptacek

Dr. Margaret Ptacek is the founder, medical director and practitioner at Alpha Performance Health, and a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 23 years of healthcare experience. She has cared for more than 10,000 patients over her career. She holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Genomics from Rockwell University, completed Family Nurse Practitioner education at Chamberlain College of Nursing, and holds MSN, APRN and FNP-BC credentials.

Her focused training includes post-master's hormone specialist training through the Hormone Institute, an orthobiologic residency, advanced MSK sonogram training with AMSKU, and advanced training in genomics, hormone optimization, ultrasound-guided joint injection, sexual wellness and regenerative aesthetics. She holds StemWave and MDPen microneedling certifications. Her work centers on genomics, advanced biomarker testing, hormone optimization and orthobiologics, with prevention-focused, personalized care.

When considering hormone therapy, she looks at the specific hormone, dose and delivery method against clinical findings, stage of life and each patient's health priorities, and evaluates factors that can affect testosterone before deciding whether replacement belongs in a plan.
