Dr. Marcus F. Yarbrough

Dr. Marcus F. Yarbrough founded Alpha Wound Care Solutions and Wellness, where his clinical work centers on long-standing and complicated wounds as well as burns. His training began with medical school at Ross University School of Medicine, continued with a general surgery residency at Howard University, and concluded with a burn and wound care fellowship at Crozer Regional Burn Center. He holds the CWSP credential and is board-certified in both wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He presents at national conferences on burn and wound care and has written several research articles. He takes on speaking and consulting work with Convatec, Kerecis and Polymedics Innovations. He belongs to multiple professional organizations, among them the Medical Society of Virginia, the American Medical Association, the American Burn Association, the American Professional Wound Care Association, the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, the Wound Healing Society and the Association for Advancement of Wound Care. He is also committed to advocating for patients living with difficult wounds and burns.
