Dr. Lisa M. Jukes

Dr. Lisa M. Jukes started Modern Women's Health and heads its clinical team as a board-certified OB/GYN. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1996 and completed her residency at UT Southwestern in 2000. Following several years in a multi-physician practice in Austin, she opened her own practice, Lisa M. Jukes, MD, P.A., in 2004. Her gynecology approach centers on whole-body health and wellness, and she sees patients at every age and stage of life. The conditions she handles include menstrual cycle problems, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, perimenopause and menopause, and infertility diagnosis. Using the da Vinci system, she performs robotic gynecologic surgery and has done over 1,400 such procedures since 2003. She is a national proctor for that system. She also proctors and mentors Biote providers, along with Intuitive single-site and multi-site gynecologic procedures. Her Key Opinion Leader roles are with the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery, Biote, Intuitive Surgery and InMode Technologies. She has given talks for drug companies on hormonal contraception, endometriosis and fibroids. She represents gynecology on the Robotics Steering Committee at South Austin Medical Center and holds staff privileges at most hospitals and surgery centers in the Austin area. She serves on the board of the Texas Advocacy Project, a group that provides free legal assistance to women in abusive relationships. She leads the Modern Med Aesthetics services, which include a physician-supervised weight loss program approved by the FDA and med aesthetic treatments for the body and face. The practice offers vaginal rejuvenation using AVIVA and MonaLisa Touch, and bioidentical hormone therapy through her role as a Biote Platinum Provider. According to the website, she was the first physician in Central Texas to offer AVIVA and the first in her area to perform MonaLisa Touch. The site also lists her as an Austin Monthly Top Doctor since 2015, a 2021 recipient of the Award for Top Doctor in Gynecology, and one of the country's leading robotic gynecologic surgeons.
