Dr. Libby Lowenthal is an oncologist and lifestyle medicine physician at Sparrow Health & Performance. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1993 to complete medical oncology training at UAB, finished a medical oncology fellowship in 1996, and went on to spend over 15 years providing oncology care to patients across central Alabama.
In 2009 she moved to New Zealand to pursue integrative healthcare work. There she spent three years in the public healthcare sector, established several integrative oncology practices, and worked closely with radiation oncologists on genitourinary cancers. Her focus today is integrative oncology, which brings together oncology, nutrition and lifestyle medicine.
