Dr. Lawrence Shapiro

Dr. Lawrence Shapiro founded the practice, where he also works as the surgeon. He is a dermatologist whose work is limited to hair restoration surgery, and he is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in 1980 in recognition of academic achievement. He has performed more than 11,000 micro-minigraft and follicular unit hair restoration procedures and more than 1,000 on fellow physicians, and he performs every one of his procedures himself. He is the hair transplant physician of choice for other doctors and the most experienced hair transplant physician in the world. He was the first hair loss physician to perform a strip incision, and the first in the South to concentrate on micro-mini grafting. He has served as faculty at the annual meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, lectured at the IAT convention in San Antonio and at the annual congress of the Japan Society of Clinical Hair Restoration, and had a paper accepted by Skin Surgery, the official journal of that Japan society.
