Dr. Lawrence Chang

Dr. Lawrence Chang is a board-certified cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon practicing in the Newark and Wilmington area since 1994. He holds a medical doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, awarded in 1986, following a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, completed between 1978 and 1981. His surgical training covers a general surgery residency at the University of Rochester and a plastic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He completed a craniofacial and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma and hand surgery training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

Chang founded Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in 1999 and opened Rehoboth Plastic and Dermatologic Surgery in 2011. His practice centers on cosmetic surgery and reconstructive breast, facial and dermatologic surgery. He acts as a teaching preceptor for the Internal Medicine and Podiatry residency programs at Christiana Care Health System. The American Academy of Family Physicians named him an Active Teacher in Family Medicine in 1994.
