About

Dr. Laura Kostrzewski is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and the co-founder and owner of Avena Natural Health in Solana Beach. She earned a BS in animal science from California Polytechnic State University, with minors in Spanish and Psychology, and she also taught fifth grade on the central coast of California for two years. She received her naturopathic doctorate from Bastyr University California in June 2019, completed a residency at Bastyr, and has served as adjunct faculty there while founding the clinic.

Before starting Avena, she ran a private practice focused on managing neurodegenerative conditions. Her clinical training centers on GI health, hormone optimization and neurodegenerative conditions, and she has a particular interest in women's health, hormonal health and fertility. She has completed extensive hormone replacement therapy training, has been trained in the Bredesen reversing cognitive decline program (ReCODE), and is a certified Apollo Practitioner.

She works with people of all ages and at every stage of life.
