Dr. Laila Farhat, MD

Dr. Laila Farhat is the founder and medical director of Jana HealthCare, which she opened in 2000 at its current Bay Ridge location. She has more than 20 years of experience in internal medicine and works with adults at every stage of life. She speaks English, Spanish and Arabic.

She trained at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Facultad de Medicina, graduating with a medical degree in 1994, and completed her residency at Brooklyn Hospital Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine and in obesity medicine, and she is also a certified health coach.

Her clinical work spans internal medicine, personalized weight management and aesthetic care. On the aesthetic side she offers Botox, dermal fillers, HydraFacial, Dermapen microneedling and laser hair removal, and she gives Botox injections under medical supervision. Each patient begins with a complete medical history review and a discussion of goals, and she works closely with the in-house nutritionist to build customized weight loss plans.
