Dr. Kian Karimi

Dr. Kian Karimi is a facial plastic surgeon who holds an MD and FACS. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He took two undergraduate degrees from the University of Indiana, one in biochemistry and one in Spanish, graduating magna cum laude at 20, and then trained at the IU School of Medicine. His residency in head and neck surgery was at the University of Florida, and he completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under Dr. Peter Adamson. His clinical work centers on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck surgery, endonasal skull base surgery and non-invasive procedures. Since 2012 he has served as Medical Director of CosmoFrance. He was the plastic surgeon for the Los Angeles Kings hockey organization for nine consecutive seasons. He teaches surgeons across the United States PDO thread techniques, microcannula filler injection and the use of autologous blood plasma. He is volunteer faculty at UCLA School of Medicine and at the USC Keck School of Medicine, and he chairs the course for the Los Angeles Multi-Specialty Cosmetic Academy Meeting. He has received the Kris Conrad Merit Award, several Castle Connolly Awards, and recognition from LA Magazine's Super Doctors. He contributes to research with the Brain Tumor Clinic team and works on head and neck cancer clinical trials with The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute. His patients include celebrities, executives, public figures, professional athletes, trauma patients and young adults.
