Dr. Kevin Savage

Dr. Kevin Savage practices as a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at The Medical Group of NJ - Navesink Dermatology, where he is double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He holds M.D. and FAAD credentials, and his dermatology work has produced more than 50 publications and 300 citations. He attended the University of Delaware before graduating from Drexel University College of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. An internship at Harvard University came next, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he was chief resident in his final year of a class of 18 residents. He then completed a Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship at the same center, training under Dr. Melissa Pugliano-Mauro. His practice includes care for high-risk skin cancer patients, among them solid organ transplant recipients and immunosuppressed patients. He is highly trained in complex facial reconstruction after Mohs surgery. During residency he worked with specialists in immunobullous disease and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and he was lead author of American Academy of Dermatology guidelines on dermatologic surgery in elderly patients and on pain management in hidradenitis suppurativa patients.
