Dr. Kenneth Harper

Dr. Kenneth Harper serves as Medical Director of Spa Medical and founded Vein Specialists of the South, LLC. Since 1997 his work has centered on diagnosing and treating varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers and leg swelling using minimally invasive techniques. He received a B.S. in Biology from Georgia College in 1975 and an M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia in 1979, then completed a surgical residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia between 1979 and 1984. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, a certification he received in 1986, and he holds the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation credential from the ARDMS, earned in 2009. He volunteers as a clinical instructor at the Mercer University School of Medicine. According to the site, he performed the first endovenous radiofrequency closure procedure in Georgia in early 2000, and the site also notes he received a Surgery Resident of the Year award in 1984.
