Dr. Julie Miller, MD, PhD

Dr. Julie Miller is a board-certified ophthalmologist and eyelid surgery specialist at Allure Plastic Surgery, where she directs the practice's Non-Invasive Center. She earned her MD and PhD at Tulane University School of Medicine through a combined program in New Orleans, then completed an internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 2000. She went on to an ophthalmology residency at the Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, finishing in 2003. During that residency she handled hundreds of complex ophthalmic cases, and she trained under Columbia ophthalmology leaders, including the inventor of the laser used in refractive surgery.

Her surgical work centers on eyelid surgery and oculoplastic procedures. She performs upper and lower blepharoplasty, ptosis (droopy eyelid) correction, eyelid lift, brow lift, and periorbital rejuvenation. When planning eyelid procedures, she looks at how eyelid structure and eye health affect each other, with the aim of preserving or improving vision. Through the Non-Invasive Center she also offers Botox, dermal fillers, CoolSculpting, Ultherapy, the Vampire Facial, and PhatFacial.

She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Consultations are available at the Manhattan, Staten Island, and Edison, New Jersey offices.
