Dr. Julia Schlam Edelman

Dr. Julia Schlam Edelman is the Medical Director of the practice and a board-certified gynecologist and certified menopause clinician. Before starting a private gynecology practice in Southeastern Massachusetts in 1987, she served as an attending physician at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School for 12 years and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Brown Medical School, and she has given grand rounds presentations at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Lahey Clinic. She co-authored a 2015 ACOG clinical update on menopause treatment with colleagues from Massachusetts General Hospital and has written books on menopause and sleep, including Menopause Matters and Successful Sleep Strategies for Women. The North American Menopause Society named her Menopause Practitioner of the Year in 2010. She has more than 30 years of experience as a gynecologist and menopause clinician, and she is certified in ThermiVa and ThermiSmooth250.
