Dr. Joyesh Raj

Dr. Joyesh Raj founded Raj Plastic Surgery and is a board-certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He trained at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and graduated with honors in Economics and Biology from the University of Chicago. He completed a general surgery residency at Fairview Hospital, a plastic surgery residency at the University of Colorado, and cosmetic surgery training with surgeons in Miami and New York City.

Early in his career he was a pediatric plastic surgeon at Denver Children's Hospital. He later became Head of Cosmetic Surgery and a professor of plastic surgery at the University of Colorado, then Chief of Plastic Surgery at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland. He returned to Ohio to open his practice. He takes part in both the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, has lectured in the United States and abroad, and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters. He also sits on the boards of the Community West Foundation and Lake Ridge Academy.

His work covers cosmetic surgery, minimally invasive and non-invasive procedures, and major reconstructive surgery. Body procedures include contouring, breast augmentation, lift, reduction, revision and gynecomastia correction, while facial procedures include facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery. He also performs latissimus dorsi and TRAM flap breast reconstruction, and at the Westlake office offers laser skin resurfacing, Morpheus8 RF microneedling, spider vein treatment and Laser 360 treatments.

He has received the Community West Foundation 2012 Art of Caring Award, the Vitals.com Patient's Choice Award, the Compassionate Care Award and the On-Time & Promptness Award.

At consultation, he assesses candidacy and skin thickness before recommending a customized plan. For breast reduction he helps patients judge what size suits their body, and for breast reconstruction he works with each patient's oncology team.
