Dr. Joy Moy

Dr. Joy Moy owns Joy of Acupuncture, where she practices as a board-certified Doctor of Acupuncture. Her education includes a Doctorate of Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science, and a Bachelor of Professional Studies and a Master in Acupuncture from New York College of Health Professions. She also holds an M.S. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Boston College. Much of her clinical work centers on acute and chronic pain linked to musculoskeletal conditions, affecting areas from the upper body and shoulders to the hips, knees and lower back. She also treats arthritis, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, shingles, plantar fasciitis, gastrointestinal disorders, stress, anxiety, and headaches or migraines. She is certified to perform Korean Sports Medicine and treats NHL, USTA and PGA players as well as collegiate and amateur athletes. She is certified in microneedling, RF microneedling and cosmetic acupuncture, and was trained and certified in facial acupuncture by Virginia Doran. Her facial treatments do not use injections, and she has also completed training and certification in facial cupping and facial gua. She is a skincare formulator and herbalist. She teaches fellow doctors at the clinic and volunteers with the Acupuncture Society of New York, described as the largest professional membership organization in New York State. She is also a published author who speaks at public events and is interviewed by newspaper and magazine journalists.
