Dr. Joshua Baker

Joshua Baker, MD, founded The Retreat Restorative & Aesthetics and is an internationally recognized cosmetic surgeon. Before opening in Rockwall County, he built a body contouring practice in Dallas, and he developed the QuantumBody series. His work focuses on body sculpting, breast and buttock fat grafting, stem cell treatments, skin tightening, and topical face and body treatments. He is a leader in buttock and breast fat transfer. He began his training at the University of Arkansas, where he earned a B.S. and graduated summa cum laude, a distinction awarded fewer than 10 times in that college's history. He then attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he was one of 30 students in a class of 200 to receive a scholarship. He earned his medical degree at age 24. His clinical exposure during training included M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, TIRR, Memorial Hermann, Children's Memorial Hermann and The Methodist Hospital, all in the Houston area. His surgical training in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona covered complex head, face and neck reconstruction, facial trauma, breast reconstruction, excess skin removal, liposuction and fat grafting. He also has experience with non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures such as body sculpting, anti-aging treatments and fat removal, and he is an early adopter of technology. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery, the American Society of Liposuction Surgery, the Dallas County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association and the World Association of Gluteal Surgeons.
