Dr. Jon Snipes

Dr. Snipes is Medical Director at AquaVita Wellness & Medspa. He holds an undergraduate degree from Clemson University and completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he then did a psychiatry residency and served as Chief Resident in his final year. He was the first graduate of the inaugural fellowship in brain stimulation for treatment-resistant depression, completed in 2013. His clinical work centres on electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, deep brain stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation and ketamine. Before that, he was Medical Director at the Carolina Center for Behavioral Health, where he oversaw a 36-bed inpatient chemical dependency unit and outpatient programs.

Since 2018 he has focused on IV nutrition, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, anti-aging medicine and regenerative medicine. In 2023 he finished a fellowship in stem cell treatment and exosomes at the Stem Cell Institute in Las Vegas. His training also includes neurotoxins, dermal fillers, peptides, weight management, PRP, laser treatments and other aesthetic procedures. He has board eligibility with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and became fully board certified in aesthetic medicine in 2024.
