Dr. John Rachel

Dr. John Rachel is Medical Director of Chicago Aesthetics Surgery & Med Spa, overseeing its locations in Chicago and Glenview, Illinois. A facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, he has practiced for more than twenty years, concentrating on the face, nose and ears. His procedures include face lifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty and otoplasty (ear pinning), performed with a range of techniques. The salon credits him with national recognition in facial rejuvenation and facial plastic surgery. He completed fellowship training and holds certification from four boards: the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He holds an MD and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). His medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine was awarded with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, and he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Michigan State University. He trained under Dr. William Beeson, a former president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as JAMA Otolaryngology and Dermatologic Surgery, and he has presented at national medical conferences. He received a substantial National Institutes of Health grant for his medical research. The business says he has been recognized with the John Orlando Roe award for research and innovation.
