Dr. John Q. Cook

Dr. John Q. Cook is the surgeon at Whole Beauty Institute, a plastic surgery and medical aesthetics practice with locations in Chicago's Gold Coast and in Winnetka, and he started the practice, serving as its Medical Director. He is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and works as an attending plastic surgeon and faculty member at Rush University Medical Center, where he has been on staff since 1988. He has provided aesthetic plastic surgery in Chicago and Winnetka since that same year. Early on, a large part of his work was breast reconstruction at Rush.

His work is organized around three areas: facial aesthetic surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, and advanced body contour surgery. He is recognized for natural-looking facial rejuvenation, including facelifts paired with fat transfer, and has carried out several thousand facial fat transfers over two decades. He is also known for arm contour surgery and has more than 20 years of experience with liposuction and surgical fat reduction, including Vaser, SlimLipo, SmartLipo and BodyTite. The procedures he lists include face and neck lifts, body contouring, and breast augmentation and breast lift. He created the structural breast lift technique and the WBI View appearance evaluation system.

He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons, and he is a former president of the Rush Surgical Society.
