Dr. John K. Nia is a fellowship-trained practicing dermatologic and cosmetic surgeon at Gendler Dermatology in New York City. He works across medical and surgical skin cancer treatment, plastic reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, and laser and aesthetic dermatology. He completed his dermatology residency at Mount Sinai, where he was selected as chief resident.
He trained at City University of New York in an accelerated 7-year program, graduating with honors after combining undergraduate study with a medical degree. He then completed a fellowship at Clinic 5C under Dr. Cameron Chesnut, a program that integrates facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and dermatologic surgery. His particular interests include cosmetic blepharoplasty, laser resurfacing, and regenerative medicine using adipocyte-derived stem cells.
