Dr. Jean-Paul Leva

Dr. Jean-Paul Leva is a board-certified cosmetic and general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is part of the Leva Medical team. He received a BA in biochemistry from New York University, where he was a Martin Luther King Scholar and won the Dean's Recognition Award. He went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and an MSc in interdisciplinary studies at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York. His surgical start was an internship at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine in Manhasset, New York, where he won the John B. Chang Memorial Intern of the Year award. He then did a general surgery residency at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, where he was Chief Surgical Resident, and he was named an NSQIP Surgical Champion. Advanced cosmetic surgery training followed at New Look New Life, in New York City and in Miami, Florida. His practice covers breast aesthetic surgery, such as augmentation and lift, plus body contouring and mommy makeovers. He also does facial cosmetic surgery, including face and neck lift, blepharoplasty and chin procedures, and advanced fat grafting to the face, breast, buttocks and for scar repair. He has taken part in surgical research, including a review of complications after bariatric surgery and conference presentations, and in the CARGO study at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He speaks English and Spanish.
