Dr. JD McCoy

Dr. JD McCoy is the on-site medical director at Contour Medical. He earned a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, completed an internship in internal medicine in Hawaii, and then began specialized training, certification and an externship in cosmetic medicine and light-based therapies. Since 2003 he has worked in less-invasive cosmetic rejuvenation, weight management and natural bio-identical hormone therapy. He is one of the most accomplished naturopathic physicians in aesthetic medicine nationwide, and is nationally recognized as an expert and teacher.

He is a physician member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the first naturopathic physician to attain membership in it, as well as the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Society of Aesthetic Mesotherapy and the International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science. He is a founding board member of the Naturopathic Physicians Board of Aesthetic Medicine. He serves on medical advisory boards for Benev ERC, Miracu Threads and SylfirmX RF Microneedling, and works as an advanced injection trainer and physician speaker for Galderma and Suneva. He is also a physician trainer and advisory council member for Thermi-RF, a luminary physician speaker for Sciton's Halo laser, and a national trainer for Alma Lasers.

He has performed more than 500 threadlifts, with advanced threadlift training completed in South Korea, and has resurfaced over 1,000 faces using erbium, CO2, radiofrequency and plasma devices. He has more than 10 years of injecting experience and is among the top injectors in Arizona and nationally. He is also one of the first physicians in the country to use Thermi-RF for fat contouring and skin tightening, and a pioneer in vaginal rejuvenation with ThermiVa.
