Dr. Janelle Vega

Dr. Janelle Vega is a board-certified dermatologist at Mayoral Dermatology who has worked in private practice for close to twenty years. Her focus is cosmetic dermatology, including injectables and lasers, and she keeps up medical dermatology alongside that work. She has treated many patients with skin of color, a large number of them in Miami. She takes part in clinical research studies and is one of a group of trainers who teach injectable techniques to fellow physicians. She has written several medical articles and book chapters. Her education includes an undergraduate degree from Haverford College in 2002 and a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2006. She did post-doctoral training in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, then spent a year on clinical research at the University of Puerto Rico, where she also finished her first year of dermatology training. She completed her dermatology training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she received an award for Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery.
